I always pack the latest news about Joomla! in my Kindle managing the daily e-book with Calibre.

My recipe is very handy. It joins Joomla! Community Magazine, Joomla! JED - Community Blog, Joomla! JED - Recently Updated, and Joomla! JED - New Extensions.

As Calibre is very powerful, with this same recipe, it can build the e-book for MOBI, EPUB, LIT, etc; and publish to other devices like iPad/iPhone/iPod, Nook, and other smart phones.

A week ago, Ulli Storck from 1st-Movers had a great product idea to combine his AutoTweet NG and Sigsiu's SobiPro.

We've previously worked together with our successful Global Social Submit for JomSocial product line. It was a new opportunity to work together. We decided to extend Global Social Submit to support SobiPro.

SobiPro is a powerful directory extension. It is designed to easily create multiple directories or content types.... and we love working with it.

We've also worked with SobiPro's Notifications to create our app to publish SobiPro entries as JomSocial activity, Sp2Js Activity Stream. The new product was almost there.

So, we've created and published Global Social Submit (NG) for SobiPro. SobiPro's Social Networking is our objective, and a great idea to promote your catalog activity in Twitter, Facebook, Ping.fm, etc.

For example, you can tweet every time a new entry is added to your catalog.

We've just published our new plugin for Joomla! 2.5 Smart Search to support SobiPro multi-catalog directory solution. We've integrated the same routines packed in our previous Joomla Search Plugin to enable the new search engine.

For example you can search for "duckburg" or "passat" to retrieve the classic SobiPro entries.

It's nice to have query auto-completion/suggestions and results highlights. All of these empowered for full text search provided by the new finder component.

We've been building JomSocial Business Pages for a while. Now we publish new modules to ease the task to build directories.

In a nutshell, JomSocial is a Joomla-based platform for building social networks and community websites with collaboration tools, Facebook-like features and more.

When a social network reaches a tipping point, companies ask for a space to properly be there. If there's no space, users tend to create fake users as a way to promote their business. In 2009, Facebook introduced the Pages, and Google+ Pages were introduced in the past year.

There are well-known directory components (Mosets Tree, Adsmanager, or the old Sobi2); however SobiPro has a dynamic field structure along multiple directories.

After we install SobiPro, and customize the directory; we want a tight integration between SobiPro and JomSocial. So, we've developed and tested in our projects a JomSocial and SobiPro application.
